Weapons taught within Bushinkai
Main Hakuda Kempo Toshu Jutsu Weapons
1.) Jo. Four foot staff. Essentially a "broom handle" weapon.
2.) Sai. Okinawan hand-trident. Similar to the Japanese Jutte. Usually used in pairs.
3.) Nunchaku. Flails. Similar to the Chinese "two section staff" also known as Nishaku.
4.) Tonfa. Side handled baton. Similar to a police truncheon of this type. Usually used in pairs.
5.) Bo. Six foot staff.
6.) Dip Dao. Chinese butterfly swords. The single edged curved sword was seen in Okinawa but has fallen out of vogue in many kobudo styles. Usually used in pairs.
Other weapons:
1.) Tanto/Aikuchi. Japanese style dagger. May be used as an alternative to Dip Dao.
2.) Tanjo. Short stick. Commonly known as Escrima stick. May be used in pairs.
